Ram developing minivan based pickup - report

Could be launched in late 2013

According to a recent report, Ram is developing an entry-level pickup based on the next-generation Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country.
While nothing is official, the model - dubbed the TR Ram Lifestyle Truck - would reportedly be built in Canada and compete against the Honda Ridgeline. Essentially a replacement for the Ram Dakota, the truck is envisioned as a fuel-efficient model for consumers who like the flexibility of a pickup but don't need gas guzzling engines and a massive towing capacity.
If the reports are correct, the new pickup could be launched in late 2013 or early 2014.
