Maserati GT Garbin rendered by college students

Inspired by the iconic Maserati Ghibli

Following hot on the heels of the Mercedes Aria concept, three students - Jaime Cervantes, Andrea Coccia and Chetan Rajput - have teamed up to create the Maserati GT Garbin.

Designed as part of their thesis for the Master in Transportation and Automobile Design program at Politecnico di Milano, the Garbin draws inspiration from the Maserati Ghibli which was built from 1966 to 1973. While the latter car is a design icon, the Garbin eschews retro styling and adopts forward sliding doors, a truncated rear end and a GranTurismo-inspired front fascia.

Inside, the minimalist cabin has a high-tech instrument cluster, a floating center console and individual seating for four.
