Aston Martin Cygnet EV coming in 2013 - report

Will likely have a top speed of 125 km/h (78 mph)

In an effort to appease increasing environmental pressures, Aston Martin will reportedly launch a Cygnet EV in 2013.
Essentially a rebadged Toyota iQ EV, the Cygnet will likely feature a 47 kW (64 PS / 63 hp) electric motor that is powered by an 11 kWh lithium-ion battery. Sadly, this means the car will offer tepid performance as the iQ accelerates from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 14 seconds and has a top speed of 125 km/h (78 mph).
On the upside, owners can expect to travel up to 105 km (65 miles) on a single charge. When the battery is depleted, it can be fully recharged in four hours. Furthermore, if you're in a rush, a rapid charging cycle can deliver an 80 percent charge in just 15 minutes.
